The Cotonou

Cotonou is a port city on the south coast of Benin and also it's capital. It used to be famous for trading palm oil and cotton. As the colour of the necklace suggests, it has a strong French influence - Benin was once a French colony for many years and to this day there remains many French traditions and influences.
